We teach school-based therapists and educators how to engage children with special needs in filmmaking, empowering students to create culture, information, and entertainment.

We believe children and youth with special needs deserve access to high-quality, project-based, and arts-based activities and programs. Filmmaking is a fun and empowering vehicle for meeting students' educational, emotional, social, and developmental needs.

Our students’ perspectives and talents matter. They deserve to be heard, celebrated, and enjoyed in connection with the community at large. That’s why we founded the Film Festival From MARS in 2016 to showcase films made by students with special needs.
